She accepted a position with Dudley Products in 1991 and over the years she has developed her artistry to such a high level that she earned the title of “Makeup Magician” by many who know and work with her. She is one of the leading Advanced Training Instructors for Dudley Cosmetology University, as well as a top Make-up Artist for Dudley Products Cosmetics Miss Mekonnen has trained thousands of Cosmetologist and produced many successful make-up artist. Her work has been published in some of the top national and international magazine covers. Some of the covers include Dudley Products Hair Images, top hair magazines such as Modern Salon, Salon Ovation, and Question and Answer columns for Hype Hair and Sophisticates Black Hair Care and Style Guide and international magazines in Germany, Britain, Italy. Betty Mekonnen also does make up video releases for Dudley Products Cosmetics. She’s had the opportunity to travel and work with numerous celebrities from Hollywood to New York.
